Who are we?

The Lac Notre-Dame Property Owners' Association has existed under this name for over 35 years. It represents close to 120 families residing on the lake.

A general assembly is held each year, usually towards the end of June, during which topics of interest to the members are discussed and our executive committee is elected.

Twice a year we get together for one of our social gatherings. In the summer, in early August, we gather at the Montfort Pavilion for our annual BBQ. In February, our winter activity starts with a morning cross-country ski or snowshoe outing, followed by a lunch at the Pavilion, and then by dinner at a restaurant.

Our mission is to preserve the quality of the natural environment in which we are privileged to live, the balance of its ecosystems and the peaceful nature of our surroundings. Promotion of a community and neighbourly spirit is also our objective.

We regularly keep in touch with the municipality, Quebec’s Environment Minister, the Lake Surveillance Association as well as with our neighbouring lake associations. We keep a watchful eye on the quality of lake water by conducting regular tests and promote best practices to preserve it.

We gladly welcome new owners, and look forward to meeting them at our social activities and annual general meeting.

The association is run by volunteers; we are always looking for help. There are many opportunities to get involved either in the executive or one of its subcommittees.
